Post-Doctoral Researcher

Euiju Jeon is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Strategy and Venturing in Aalto University. He received his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from HEC Paris. Before joining academia, he worked for the Agency for Defense Development in South Korea.

Dr. Jeon’s research is focused on how corporate governance and organizational design influence technology sourcing decisions in the context of corporate venture capital investing. More specifically, he investigates how institutional ownership and organizational integration affect corporate venture capital investing, their follow-on by alliance and acquisition deals, and their abandonment decisions. His research has received the 2015 SRF Dissertation Research Grant from the Strategic Management Society, the Best Paper Award from the 2016 Business PhD in France Conference, the Best Paper Award from Samsung Economic Research Institute at the 2017 AOM Conference, and the Best Paper Nomination from the 2017 SMS Conference in Houston.
