The emergence of new technologies, such as additive manufacturing and 3D-printing and bioprinting, offers great potential for medical industry and create opportunities for technology entrepreneurship. Following this development, it is becoming increasingly important to consider the economic and political aspects of these technologies.
In order to explore the disruptive technologies from both the entrepreneurs’ and societal perspectives, we have carried out research on the opportunity recognition processes of technology entrepreneurship, the influence of providers, users and policy makers on adoption of new technology, as well as the social and legal conditions of these novel technologies.
