High-level research from a multitude of perspectives

In our research, we seek to understand the complexity of entrepreneurship as a multifaceted socio-economic phenomenon. Our work builds on the diverse research interests of our team, and it is pronouncedly multi-disciplinary, applying theories and methods from economics, geography, psychology and sociology.

We can confidently state that our research meets the highest quality standards: we publish and serve as editors in the top journals, such as Academy of Management Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Venturing, International Small Business Journal, and Small Business Economics. We have won significant paper awards and our team has gained prestigious research funding.

Some of our research serves the sole purpose of advancing entrepreneurship theory. But much of what we do bears significance for practice and public policy. For this reason, we continue to be active in the policy community, advising policy makers and carrying out consultancy assignments for example for ministries as well as the EU and the OECD.
