In an increasingly globalized world, people are traveling more than ever; people want to see the world and experience new cultures. Because of this, developing sustainable tourism options has been identified as a key component environmentally-friendly, socially inclusive, and economically positive development.
Accordingly, multiple stakeholders such as municipalities, the private sectors, think tanks, state-led organizations, and universities are all engaging with the issue. To further this discussion, Aalto University’s Entrepreneurship unit will host a discussion panel on this important and fascinating topic featuring discussants such as Jukka Punamäki (Senior Advisor for Helsinki City), Terhi Hook (Development Manager for Business Finland), Avinash Dhital (Project Specialist for Aalto Global Impact), Miikka Valo (Director, Conventions & Tourism for Visit Espoo), Olli Rinne (Entrepreneur, Wilderness Guide for Feel the Nature) and Annika Järvelin (Founder of Duara Travels).
P.S. You are also welcome to listen to the presentations of the Aalto students from Sustainable Entrepreneurship course between 12:30 – 16:00!
