Although not offering a Bachelor level programme in entrepreneurship, students majoring in any other subject have the opportunity to participate in the vast variety of entrepreneurship courses as well as to immerse themselves in the Aalto ecosystem.
Some examples of the available courses include:
- Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management allows students to gain an understanding on two principle issues of entrepreneurial businesses entering new markets face: (1) market and competitive analysis and (2) strategic positioning. The course applies a ‘blended learning’ approach, that is, a combination of online contents and classroom teaching. It is also possible to complete the whole course online.
- Introduction to Digital Business and Venturing focuses on IT, ICT and various other high-tech markets and industries. It explores themes from data mining to artificial intelligence and provides students with skills to recognise and act upon the opportunities in these areas. The course is a combination of theory and expert lectures, selected readings and online contents, and real world business case assignments.
- Aaltonaut is Aalto University’s Bachelor’s Minor Programme that integrates design, business and engineering to enable students to develop the products of the future. Each course in the Aaltonaut minor is built around a real-life product development problem. Students work in multidisciplinary teams to tackle these problems from the perspectives of business, engineering and design.
